The Eritrean government has turned Eritrea into the most censored country in the world, making campaigning from the inside impossible. It is therefore up to people outside of the country to step up. There are also many issues affecting Eritrean refugees outside of Eritrea that the diaspora must respond to. The overall situation might feel hopeless, but there are many issues happening right now that we can actually change and issues that require our long term engagement to succeed.

One Day Seyoum is a community-led human rights organisation focused on Eritrea and Eritrean refugees. We were started in 2013 and mobilise people all over the world to get involved - both online and in-person.

Only collective action can create meaningful change for the Eritrean people, and that is why we need as many people as possible to get involved.
