19 years ago, the Eritrean government shut down the free press and imprisoned the country’s most outspoken journalists and politicians.

This played a crucial role in establishing the brutal dictatorship that has destroyed the lives of countless Eritreans and forced too many to flee.

Our campaign #19StolenYears protests what the regime started in 2001 and calls on Eritreans and allies worldwide to speak up against the dictatorship.

Eritrea is the most censored country in the world.
It’s our duty to raise our voices from the outside.
